Am I asking too much from my husband?
My husband is in the Army
Now, he want's me to go back to work because we really don't have enough money to survive. He says he'll cook dinner and take care of the girls and give them baths and feed them and get them into bed on time.
He's deploying in October, this might be away for him to spend time with the girls before he deploys. But I also want to spend time with him too, not just when I'm asleep in bed, conked out from a long night of waitressing.
I know he wants to do all of these things but, am I asking too much of him?
No, you aren't asking to much of him. He is asking the same of you. You will both be working and taking care of the kids. It's a shared task and with children that young, it can be exhausting. Before you go back to work you need to sit down together and make a schedule to follow for your sanity and his as well as for the girls to feel a sense of security. Everyone will know then what is expected of them and when. Then when he is deployed in October it will be a smooth transition to a babysitter if you decide to continue working. Good Luck!
