What are your favorite baby brands?

I'm preparing for my little girl now and i've been looking online before I go out to a store and purchase items or buy them on the internet so I'm comparing a few so please tell me your opinions. Thanks in advance!

Diapers-
Huggies or Pampers

Bottles-
Playtex drop-ins, Playtex ventaire, Avent, or Dr. Brown's

Travel system/baby gear
Graco or Evenflo

I know I will need more things but these are just common brands and i'm trying to see what mom's prefer.

And is there any item you would suggest for all new mother's to have?

Diapers- Pampers swaddlers, so soft.

Bottles- Playtex drop-ins, simple easy to wash, cheap and also come in latex and silicone nipples (my son preferred latex)

Travel system- Graco, I use safety first but a friend of mine had both and found the graco a lot more simple and "user friendly"

Things not listed:

Wipes- pampers sensitive wipes are awesome

Diaper rash cream- balmex, it cleared the redness in 1 diaper change like promised =)

Baby bath wash- Johnson & Johnson head to to wash

Breast Feeding - An Important Lesson for All Mothers

There are many changes that a young mother needs to be prepared for. The act of giving birth is a miracle that soon gives way to the tough job of raising a child.

You will probably read every book in your local library and learn everything you can about caring for a baby, changing diapers, and making your house safe.

However, there are a few basic things you have to worry about before you think of padding every corner of your house and picking out the perfect stroller.

Breast feeding technique is just about the most important new skill you'll have to master.

Unfortunately, this isn't something that you can learn or pick up from a book. Breast-feeding is something that most mothers and babies learn together once the infant is born.

It can't hurt to have some familiarity with the process before you start, though. Talk to your doctor regarding any of your questions. You may even want to see a lactation consultant to make sure you are latching your baby correctly.

You will probably learn a few great tips about breast-feeding through your research. For instance, you'll learn that the earlier you start, the better it is for your baby to get used to being breast fed.

Your breasts will supply milk once the demand is there, so let your baby suckle even if you don't feel the milk come right away.

Another thing you'll learn is that the first few days in a baby's life are some of the most important, at least when it comes to breast feeding. In those first few days, your breasts produce a thick milk called colostrum.

This milk is probably yellowish in color. It contains antibodies and a lot of nutrients that your baby needs. The antibodies will protect him or her from bacteria or viruses and the nutrients will help them to grow and develop.

There is no replacement for this colostrum, no formula that can achieve as much, so you should give it your best effort to breast feed during this time.

Lactation consultants will tell you that mastering the technique is the most difficult part of breast-feeding. You have to relax and be persistent in those first few days.

Your infant needs to learn how to suckle and release the milk, and you need to learn how to encourage him to latch onto your breasts and to let go when your breast is empty.

Lactation consultants can show you the proper technique, and you'll master it in a short time. The more you and your baby breast feed, the easier and more natural it will become.
