Taking Bottles on the road?

What do you store your baby's bottles in to keep them fresh & cool throughout your day? I was given an insualted bottle holder, but is like another diaper bag to carry around. The diaper bag I have is very basic and doesn't have seperate compartment for bottles. Any suggestions on good products, budget concsious?
For formula, I thought the water had to be sterilized? Is it okay to use bottle water? They told me to buy ready to feed formula for on the go ( I thought that stuff was way too expensive.)

I would prepare the bottles on an as needed basis. Carry one empty baby bottle, an individual bottle of bottled water and a premeasured baggie of formula. Mix as needed. You could even have the water already in the baby bottle to eliminate one of the containers. One bottle..one baggie..you should have plenty of room for that!!
