Baby Blue Diaper Blue marks in my baby's inner things (like bruises)?
I was just playing with my 3 month old. She is a very strong baby. My pediatrician told me to hold her hands while laying on her back and let her push herself up to a sitting position to strengthen her back and neck... she always gets excited and stands up and loves to stay in this position for a while looking at things. Today I was playing with her and I had her standing several times since she enjoys it so much.
When we finished playing I went to change her diaper and I have noticed bruise like marks (greenish blue) on each inner thigh and a little one on the side of her belly button... I gently pressed in the area to see if it hurt her but it didn't seem that she was feeling it. Can these be bruises because is too early for her to stand? She was not wearing any tight outfit, just the diaper... and we were playing very gently... what can this be? Should I stop getting her to stand even if she loves it? Please let me know if you had a similar situation. Thanks so much in advance.
My daughter is also 3 months old and very strong. I have been letting her stand since just about a week or two old and she loves it too. I have never seen any kind of bruising on her. Ask the ped. Maybe she has some sort of anemic condition where she bruises easily. Good luck!
