Baby Einstein Diaper

Husband doesn't seem motivated to help me take care of our baby...what should I do?

I love my husband and he is great! But, it just seems like I'm always the one changing the diapers, putting him to sleep, feeding him, taking him when he cries, watching him while he takes a nap. My husband works full-time so I totally understand his need to relax. I just would like a little more help. I'm home all day with our son and sometimes I need to relax and have a break too. Sometimes he'll watch him but if he starts getting fussy then he'll give him to me. Or, he'll just put him in his bouncer or put on Baby Einstein. I've told him my concern and he said he'd do better but I don't see any improvement. What can I do (in a loving way) to encourage him?

My husband used to do the same thing. What I finally did was plunk the baby down in front of him and his Saturday tv show, told him I was going out with my girlfriend for the day and left for about 4 hours. This will give you a break and it will force him to take care of your son without you right there to fall back on the minute the baby starts fussing
