Flying alone with a newborn?

My husband and I are relocating to the east coast from the west coast. Our baby will only be one month old at the time and I am flying alone while he and his dad drive the Uhaul across country.

Anyway, I was just curious as to if you have flown by yourself with a newborn and was it bad?

I am kind of worried because I am going to be breast feeding and I will also have a stroller and a diaper bag and I won't have my husband there to help me with the baby and toting around all the stuff I will need for the baby.

Any advice?
Chooky: I am taking the stroller on the plane because if I have a layover I am going to want to put my baby in the stroller...Especially if the layover is longer than an hour.

Of course I am going to tag it so they can put it under the plane, but I will need it after getting off the plane for the layover.

I traveled from Japan to Detroit and then the final stop was Chicago with my 2 month old son. He did great. Depending on the airport they may help you while you hold the baby and they will grab the stroller and put it on the check belt. They also will take the stroller and have you put a tag on it before they put it under the plane.

It's not that bad actually. My son has flown 6 times in the first 7 months of his life and he loves it now. He's really good but never wants to sit with me.. always with the grandma's on the plane
