Bag Baby Essentials
When did you start packing your hospital bag? What about putting the car seat in and setting up the nursery?
Hi!
I'm 30 1/2 weeks pregnant, and my husband and I are getting in full-swing baby mode. We're currently in childbirth classes, and we had baby shower 1 of 4 yesterday (with two others next week). I'm starting to nest just a little bit where I feel the need to get ready for the baby. One of my What to Expect daily e-mails said to start gathering stuff for your hospital bag at 30 weeks, but that seems really early to me. When did you pack your hospital bag, and when did you put the car seat in your car? We've also set up our crib and painted the room, but I still need to wash the clothes we have and put together all of the "baby essentials" (stroller, ect.) When did you start doing this? I don't want to be overeager. but I do want to be prepared...especially since my intuition is telling me that baby is going to come a week or two early (I don't believe this is a given...it's just a feeling).

I had my bag packed and riding around the in the car with me at about 32 weeks. You never know and wouldn't it be better to be ready than to be unprepared?
I actually went on maternity leave at 37 weeks I think and that's when I installed the car seat, and assembled the stroller and the swing and all that stuff.
I don't think there's anything wrong with being "over eager" Lol...
If you already have the stuff and the time...there's nothing wrong with getting ready early.
