Bellissimo Pink

My mom messed up my new dress shirt?

Okay, I just bought a dress shirt from Bellissimo for my grad pictures, and it's dark red. And I asked my mom to give it a fresh look, or wash it. She hand washed it in a tub, and I'm not sure if she used detergent (does it affect it?), and now it's hanging in my laundry room, with a puddle of red water on the ground. So I'm now scared that it'll go from dark red to bright red. Will it?
And how am I supposed to wash the dress shirt? My friend suggested dry cleaning.
And another thing, the tags inside, which were formerly white, are now pink. How am I supposed to remove the stain?

Your mom probably used warm water, when she should have used cold. Your shirt might very well be a brighter color now because some of the tint has been removed with the washing. See how it looks when it is dry. If the color is OK, then take it to the dry cleaner to clean and press it for you. If the color is not good, then you'll have to buy a new shirt. I don't think you'll be able to get the pink out of the tags. I'm sure your mom had the best of intentions - I mean - how many mom's would even try to hand wash a shirt. That takes effort and time.
