Between Brown

What's the difference between brown mascara and black?
I want to buy a covergirl lashblast mascara (orange tube one) . So...if i have black lashes, will it make any difference if i put brown mascara or black? I'm not sure but I don't think there's really a diff cause my lashes are black. Help?
--thanks ![]()
I KNOW what the colors black and brown are. i am not dumb.
Good choice to buy, I use lashblast and it is my favorite!!
But yeah, brown mascara is like a very dark brown. I personally think it looks black, it is just not as harsh as the black or very black.
But if you are trying to figure out which to buy I would look at factors like how much makeup do you wear? If you are going for a more natural look and/or have a lighter complexion and hair, you might want to stick with the brown.
But if you wear quite a bit of makeup, especially if you wear black liner, I would say go for the black.
But from what it sounds like since your lashes are dark anyway, I wouldn't stress about it too much. Whether you you choose the brown or black you should be just fine.

Between Heaven & Hell $15.99 Of the four albums Oscar Brown Jr. recorded for Columbia in the early to mid-'60s, Between Heaven & Hell is perhaps the least celebrated, in part because it was the last to get onto CD (taking until 2010 to do so). Brown did his best work during this stint for Columbia, however, and this, the second of those LPs, fits comfortably into the flow of his peak as a recording artist. It's entirely characteristic of his sound of the period, Brown delivering sly lyrics with a hipster feel to bluesy jazz arrangements with big-band verve. The most famous, and best, of the songs is the first, "Mr. Kicks," with its up-for-anything devil-may-care vibe. But it's a pretty consistent album, benefiting from some arrangements by Quincy Jones, Brown maintaining an unflappably suave posture throughout. Sometimes that stay-on-the-sunny-side charm might verge on the smug and smarmy to some listeners, and there isn't as much of the more serious social commentary you find on some of his other efforts. The seamier side of life does surface sometimes, however, if in a rather lighthearted manner on tracks like "Opportunity, Please Knock." More satisfying outings in that regard are "World in Grey" and two poems to which Brown set music, "Elegy" (by Gwendolyn Brooks) and "When Malindy Sings" (by Paul Lawrence Dunbar). Overall, it's a worthy investment for those who like Brown well enough to want more in their collections than one or two compilations. ~ Richie Unterberger |

Between the Dots [LP] $19.98 The Clonious, aka Paul Movahedi, the 23-year-old Viennese graduate of the Red Bull Music Academy, makes music that sounds like what J Dilla or Madlib would do if either had studied jazz composition in college. That is to say, while both the aforementioned producers' work takes liberal helpings from old jazz LPs, they also both come from a clear hip-hop background, as evidenced by the many, many MCs who have rhymed over their beats. Rappers looking to lay down bars over the Clonious' production, however, would have a difficult time. As with many avant-garde jazz musicians, his sense of time and rhythm don't fall into the more standard, usual categories. He has an acute, and very complex, sense of structure and composition, manifested in songs like "Bugs n' Fools," which weaves together myriad keyboard parts and sections with a drum pattern that begins with the accent on the second beat and ends with it falling on the (suddenly much quicker) one and three, and "If Joe Had the Power," which sounds a bit as if Bob James and Prince's New Power Generation sat down in the studio together for a couple of hours and let the other have it. Movahedi does tone it down, a little, for "Lovelights," which features fellow neo-jazz travelers Dudley Perkins (on none other than rhymes) and the seldom-heard-contained Georgia Anne Muldrow, and which, when the eighth notes of the hook collide with Perkins' syllables, comes off a bit like a Deltron 3030 outtake (meant in the best possible way). What keeps Between the Dots from feeling too derivative, and from dragging, is that Movahedi breaks up his intergalactic wanderings with nearly straight-ahead post-bop compositions (e.g., "Agenda"), which not only show off his versatility and talent but also serve to give listeners a bit of time to catch their breaths, reflect on what they just heard, and continue on. ~ Marisa Brown |

What really happened between Chris Brown and Rihanna
Don'T Die Without The Anointing By Rodney Howard Browne
I know that I would rather die than not have the anointing. If God told me I couldn't walk in His anointing, then I would ask Him to take me home, because there would be nothing else to live for.
God wants to make us vessels that He can flow through. But you have to cry out to Him. "God, I desire to be used of You. I want so badly to be used of You. Use me, Lord. Use me, O God, use me!" Then He will come and He will use you.
Some people don't believe this. They think they can say, "God, You are looking for someone with all these qualifications. Well, I have this degree and this diploma. You really can't do without me. If You don't take me, Your kingdom will suffer. God, if You don't have me, You know the world will suffer. I'm indispensable!"
Yes, God wants you. But God can do without you. Don't ever think that without you, heaven will close down or without you, God will resign and leave the throne. He already left heaven once, when He came here to die for mankind, and rose again.
Are You Hungry?
There must be a hunger. The Word says, "The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:16). There is a story about a certain man by the name of Brainerd who would lie face down in the snow and pray. The snow, for meters around him, would melt because of the fervor of his praying.
People don't want to do that today. They will "pray" in a room where the television is on, so that they can watch the ballgame while they are praying. Call a church barbecue and watch them come by the hundreds meeting, and listen to the excuses. "I'm so tired, Pastor. I've been working all week."
You must want the Holy Ghost. You must thirst for Him. You must desire the anointing more than
anything else in life. You must want it more than you want life itself. You have to mean business with God; get serious with God. It is not a quick stroll down the aisle to have a hand slapped on your head. You have to desire it, intensely desire it from the bottom of your heart and from the depths of your being. You cry out to God, "Do whatever You have to do, but please, let me be a part of it. Do a work in my heart!" God can do a work in your heart.
Look What Happened to Saul
God will work on some people like He did on Saul in Acts 9. He knocked Saul clean off his horse and made him blind for three days and nights. Some people who totally oppose God will be dealt with like that.
I have never had something like that come my way. Neither has the majority of us. Generally, it happens to those who have desired it and called out for it. Read the life stories of some of the great men of God such as A. A. Allen. He locked himself in a room, and told his wife not to let him out, even if he screamed. When he eventually walked out of that room, the glory of God was all over him. He was anointed with fresh oil! Everyone wants a ministry, but no one wants to pay the price to become the vessel God wants. When we become hungry enough to do whatever it takes, God will fill us with fresh oil.
Rodney Howard Browne feels that God has called them to teach the body of Christ, by example, how to create an atmosphere in the church, through the worship of Father, Son and Holy Spirit, so that the presence of God can be made welcome and so that He can touch His children as He sees fit. Jesus said that if He is lifted up then He would draw all men unto Himself. Our job is to lift Him up and not be ashamed of the Word of God or the Spirit of God.
