Do Polka Dots and Checks go well together?

My top piece of swimmers is black and white polka dots and i have black and white checkered board shorts. Do you think it would look terrible if i wore them together?
The top has stripes and then polka dots.

The top of the swimmers follows a polka dot pattern that looks like this but with stripes at the top;

They don't 'go together' as such, but if you're happy wearing them together, then by all means, go for it! I mean, that's what fashion's about, pleasing yourself, doesn't matter what everyone else thinks, yeah? : )

Stylish and Sexy Maternity Swimwear
