And, is checking granny's undies and carry ons and baby diapers the pc effective way of
satisfying the loony liberal bleeding hearts instead of checking the usual suspects????
No short of stripping everyone and x-raying all I doubt it (even then I doubt it). Most of what you see on TV is done simply to make the flying public feel better about flying nothing more. Think about it, a determined enemy will always find a way around the security systems in place, and if the TSA really wanted to make security effective would they post the procedure everywhere? No, they would develop a system to screen you without you knowing you were being screened. The worst way to conduct security is by telling everyone what it is and the terrorists know this. Why would the crotch bomber attack in such a manner? It was an unreliable detonator, even most professional EOD/Explosives experts will use two initiators on an explosive, if he really wanted to take down the plane do you think he would have used a single initiator system that is an unreliable system in perfect situations at best? They were probably testing security and if it also took down the plane would have been thrilled.

Diaper bomber and body scanners?

In a speech a few day's ago Obama stated that the reason this diaper bomber was able to try to carry out an attack was because of the failure of our intelligence agencies to "connect the dots"... Thier solution to this problem???? Violate our civil rights more, invade our privacy more by subjecting us to full body scans in airports!!! How does this make sense?? The line needs to be drawn somewhere.... Our government failed and we have to pay the price.. WTF?
Work on your reading comprehension skills.... I never said Obama himself recommended fully body scanners, but the governmental agency TSA has recommended them..... It's not about what anyone in gov't says or does... it is about thier continuing destruction of our civil liberties and the principles of our constitution!
Nice try. Obama has not in any way recommended full body scans.
