Bottle Day Diaper

6 month old has a really bad diaper rash and hungry all the time... What could it be?

She's only had the rash for 2 days but it got real bad today. Is there anything going around with babies that I should be worried about? She had an 8oz. bottle and then she was still hungry and had another 6 oz. Thats not normal at all.
She has an appointment with her doctor tomorrow. So please don't say just take her in. I know that

Diaper rash:

After her next poop, clean her up and then let her go bare-bottomed for a little while (you can keep her in her crib or playpen with waterproof sheets and towels down to catch any mess). Really, light and air are the best for healing a diaper rash. After that, use a good barrier ointment (like desitin, etc) when you diaper her, and be extra vigilent about changing her, because pee and poo will irritate her skin and make the rash worse.

If you are giving her any new foods/formula, then that can cause a rash too.

The extra eating may be caused by a growth spurt...my little boy packs away an amazing amount of milk when he's growing! Just feed her whenever she's hungry. If it lasts more than a week or so, it may be time to introduce solids (if you haven't already).
