Burlap Ladies
Do you think this is fair for my husband to be this way to me?
We were at Wal-Mart today with Jessica, my baby, and my little niece and we stopped by the greeter to get those Smiley face stickers and I got one for my niece and said thank you and then I asked if I could have two for myself so I could put them on the back of my hands, I thought it was cute b/c I love those smiley faces and she said sure but then my husband said one was enough and I said please let me have two and he said no and if i asked him again he was going to make me wear my burlap dress to walmart and he said that right in front of the lady! I almost cried but I held it in and told Jessica later how I felt and she said she sympathizes with me.
Jessica isn't the baby!! She is my friend!!!
Sounds like everybody involved has lots of growing up to do.
"Fair" has nothing to do with it.
The question is: how do you wanted to be treated? It's appropriate for a man to treat his lady with respect and courtesy, to be kind, thoughtful, and compassionate. Insulting or humiliating comments are never 'on', especially in public.
