what should i paint on my canvas for a baby?

my friend is having a baby its a boy and shes naming him marcus. i want to make her a painting for her baby i was thinking of drawing blocks with his name in them but im not sure yet. so if anyone has any ideas on what i should paint please help me out.

Your idea is good but will have more limited life of use. Marcus will out grow that image and it will not work later for his kids someday. That is unless he names his first boy Marcus. Think of it as an heirloom that will be passed on. Perhaps blocks with just A,B,C on a flat car towed by a train or a dump truck with random letters or numbers. Teddy bears playing with blocks -again random letters. Maybe the bear could be just playing with a ball. Keep it simple but colorful.

It is nice that you want to do something this special newborn.
