1st day of daycare tomorrow, What should I take?

My 16 mth old is starting day care tomorrow and I don't know what I should take for her. I have to bring diapers, a change of clothes, a blanket for nap time, I would also like to take her some snacks. Is there anything else I should bring? I don't want to bring too much or not enough. For example, would a pillow be ok, or a teddy bear? should I bring a bag to put all of this in? Maybe I am putting to much thought into this but I would like to be prepared. If you can give me examples of what you pack for your kiddos, that would be great.

Hi, I actually work at a preschool, where my 3-year-old son also attends school. I'll tell you what we require/suggest parents bring for their children. However, the teacher(s) should be pretty understanding if you don't have everything you need the 1st day.
Our parents provide diapers/wipes, change of clothes, and nap time bedding (a sheet to cover the mat, plus a blanket to cover the child). At our center, we do not allow toys from home unless it is a designated "Show & Tell" day. However, a small stuffed toy or pillow for nap is acceptable. We do not offer a food program (I'm not sure if your center does), so our parents must provide a full lunch, along with at least 2 full non-spill sippy cups (or bottles if you still use them). Lunch must be in a lunch box with an ice pack. We do provide 2 snacks daily, but some parents do like to pack extras in case the child wants more.
At our center we have "cubby" spaces for the children to store all of their items, but parents are welcome to leave a diaper bag to keep things together. I would check with your center to see if they would like you to leave a bag or if they feel it would take up too much room.
An important note is to make sure everything is LABELED with your child's name or initials in permanent marker. So often parents complain that items are lost or mistakenly picked up by another parent with the same cup, etc. When items are labeled it eliminates the confusion.
Overall, just try to relax and know that you'll get the hang of things in no time. If you stress out, your child will pick up on this and it will make it harder. Don't get upset if your toddler cries when you drop off. 90% of the time the children stop crying and start playing within 5 minutes Most parents don't believe us, but it usually really is harder on you than it is on the child. Hopefully the staff at your center are friendly and they should be able to help you through the process, and in a couple of weeks it will be like a second home for your child! Good luck

How to Use Hydraulic Lifts for Perineal Care

Healthcare professionals often find hydraulic lifts to be a convenient way to manage patients who cannot bear weight, have physical limitations or who are very heavy and can not be transferred otherwise.
