Changing Pad Dust

Uneven brake pad wearying?

so just a couple weeks ago, i noticed that my rims were caked with unusual amounts of brake dust. so i took the brake pads off and just as i thought, one of the pads was a lesser amounts then the other. the outside pad was of about half the amount of the inside and i changed them last year due to a similar problem. it went away but now that the problem is back i want to figure out the problem. could it be that the caliper is not fully releasing and it's putting pressure on the outside pad and causing contact with the rotor while i am driving? any tips at what it could be would be greatly appreciated. one last question, of late my vehicle is idling around 550-600 where it has been normally around 650-750. i looked at the plugs but they didnt seem to bad, but i am going to replace them. what should i look for on the wires if they are bad.

Check the caliper sliders that are behind the rubber protectors located on the caliper bracket, Chances are they need to be cleaned and greased up There's also a chance it's time for new rotors. The Honda rotors these day's make it through 2 pad replacements before it's time for new ones. The material now a day's pads are made of is harder on the rotors where as the rotors are no longer able to dissipate the heat, tend to wear unevenly, and fall under the rotors minimum thickness specifications. The Idle being lower than normal I doubt if changing spark plugs will help. That is if the low idle isn't caused from a miss fire, Look for hard spots or signs of arcing in the wires, however using an ohm meter is the best way to check them. When you Twist and Pull your spark plug boots off check the ends of the wires for signs of oil which would indicate leaking oil tube seals which Honda's are notorious for. 1994 acura legend brake problems.?

recently i change the front brakes( rotor,pads etc) it begin to make allot of noise when driven,notice dust on rotor and front tries. Mechanic advice it a bad break pads i change the whole thing again.
the brake start to lose pressures need to step on it hard to stop,then few weeks later i decide to change back bra-ks assuming that will fix problem but it got worsen. the nose went away i stopped at the red light,i have to step my foot all away down to the foot car inch forward and stop.
if I,am going like 65 Higher can not stop quicker at all?
what you think is the problem? the Mechanic say it maybe wheel cylinder or caliper.I,m not familiar with any that stuff.
if the problem is only bleeding the air it would be easy to deal with,will do the bleeding air tomorrow.
car seem to required hard push on the braks to stop always since i change the front braks it work fine before that.

if you use metallic pads, they don't work good until they warm up & they can have a scraping sound. if your pedal goes to the floor, it could be the master cylinder. If your system needs bleeding, the brake shop does a good job with a pressure bleeder & they can look for signs of leaky wheel cylinders.
