Clutch Bubbling
Bled clutch, but didn't refill reservoir. Now air is in system. How do I fix?
I got tired and forgot to add more fluid to the resevoir. So I must have sucked air into the system. Since then I've bled clutch and master cylider (has seperate valve) 3 times using 3 litres of fluid and removed spongey pedal feel during normal driving.
But I couldn't get rid of the tiny tiny bubbles. When shifting frequently (like in traffic) the spongey feel returns. It's rather light but noticable. Gears/clutch engage as normal. I don't think there's an air leak since it's not getting more spongey.
Should I just keep bleeding or is it time to bring my car into the shop? ('04 RX-8)
the little rubber seal on the slave cylinder is possibly getting worn will not nessescarily leak but will take in a little air .otherwise could be the rubber seal on the rear of master cylinder .do the slave first its the easiest you will know by looking at the seal if it has little lines worn on it its worn out
