Indoor putting green at our wedding: cute or stupid?

My fiance is a golf pro at a country club and is also an avid golfer in his spare time. He's even playing on our honeymoon! Everybody knows this about him, it's probably his most recognizable attribute. I am doing a golf themed groom's cake for him, with the bride dragging the groom away...figured it'd be cute.

What do you think about having an indoor putting green at the reception, and putting some sort of sign above it that says if the person gets a hole in one, we have to kiss, or something along those lines? Do you think guests would like something like this?

I think it's a wonderful idea. The groom's cake sounds like it will be perfect and I always like the idea of providing activities for those who don't feel like dancing all night. The putting green would offer a nice option to relax and a fun variation on the bells or wine glass noises for making the new couple kiss. This is an especially good idea if you are inviting some of your fiance's golfing buddies.

Being A Green Company Means Going All The Way

I have noticed a lot of local and national company's lately that are going green. I have also seen that some of them seem to have no idea what that actually means. If this is an idea that you are considering for your business, that is wonderful. People will appreciate it.

It is a great time to start being Eco-friendly in and out of business. This takes some effort to do with a lot of things. It is understandable that company's want people to know that they are caring and not just raking in the cash. Just take care and actually do what you are preaching. Getting busted is too easy.

Going green does not mean selling actual green plants or garden ornaments. There are many plants that are grown by destructive methods. Remember that before you hang a bunch of pots up to look good. If you have any students on the payroll ask them to find some information for you on the subject. They will probably get a kick out of it.

Some things to do are obvious to customers and very simple too. There are some wonderful energy efficient light bulbs available. They are a good purchase because they really last a very long time as well as using less energy. They are bright too. And very easily identified. If you have some reusable bags for people that is a good idea too. You can order some burlap ones and have them printed with a cute company logo. You can sell them at a price that will cover cost so that people won't be taken aback.

Going green is a winning idea. It will win with customers too. Just check things out first. People forget that when they think they know something that quite often it is only the tip of the iceberg of information. If you search online for a little bit you will get pumped full of tons of useful info on the subject.
