Diaper Bag Designs what do i do to start designing diaper bags?
i have many ideas, but i am no artist. i thought about taking a sewing class...i'm not sure where to go with the ideas in my head.....
The first step is to learn how diaper bags are created -- what materials are used, what are the compartments and functionalities, what are the designs.
Talk to moms who use a diaper bags and ask them what they like about the bags they use, and what they don't like. Your opportunity will be addressing those "dont likes"
Then try to study how diaper bags are currently created. Even buy several designs -- tear them apart and see if you can put it back together just to see how they are constructed.
Also check the types of styles available from low end to high end -- especially compartments, look of the outside, etc. The trend now is to have diaper bags that don't really look like diaper bags in terms of functionality and most importantly outward design
Then learn how the diaper bags are sold. If you created a line, for example, what stores are most likely to carry it. Research on the trade shows where you can showcase -- and more importantly, meet buyers and retailers -- your diaper bags.
But the first question is -- if you are no artist, then who will design your bag? That may mean finding someone you can use to design your bags, while making sure that you own the designs and not the artist. Sewing will be easier as you just find someone to create prototypes and later on manufacture the bags
