I'm 32 weeks and just wondering what I really need in there. I was thinking:

changing pad
wipes
travel size baby powder
desitin
blanket
extra clothes
bottle with water
formula
a little toy
Am I missing something essential? I really don't want to carry a suitcase around. lol

I forgot. I did add a burp cloth in there.
I have reduced my diaper bag immensely. You'll learn as you go. You wont be using baby powder and desitin so pick one or the other. I chose desitin. Put a decent amount of baby wipes in a ziplock and four diapers or so. I never used the changing pad I would just go out and change him in the car. A blanket is a good idea as well as a favorite toy and a spare sleeper. I wouldn't carry entire outfits around it gets crazy. Carry feeding materials and a bib.
Unless I'm going far from home, I just throw a few diapers and my wipes into a small tote along with a few occupying toys for my son. & I always carry a jar of solids and a spoon because my son is a hefty eater haha.
