I fed my daughter out of a clean bottle but it was in a diaper bag from the hospital?

a brnad new one, but it wasnt washed yet and the cap of the bottle fell off so the nipple was exposed while in the bag. I hope she doesnt catch something?? she is only 2 weeks old! the diaper bag was new and in plastic when they gave it to us, but still. also the cat has gone near the outside of it. I am kind of a germ freak but tell me it's okay and wont make her catch something?

You will look back to this question in a few months and laugh, trust me. When she is older, you are just going to be throwing bottles left and right into the diaper bag without another thought.
She won't catch something. And you will have to get rid being a "germ freak". Children are gross. They eat gross things, gross stuff comes out both ends, and they lick/slobber on things on a daily basis. There will be times where a brand new bottle will be the cleanest thing you've seen in hours....LOL

What in your opinion are the best bottles, diapers, wipes, soaps for a baby girl?

My last baby girl is now 12 and a lot has changed since. I remember the only diapers she wasn't allergic to were Luv's and the Albertson's grocery store brand. For all I know everything could be completely different and made different so I'm asking for some opinions so I can try to buy the right things. Thanks

My little girl is pretty sensitive. She's the second baby, so i've tried everything I think. We are using:

Medela bottles (because we already have them)

Target UP and UP diapers-- LOVE THEM-- they don't have any gel in them so they don't get cold and bunchy. They absorb evenly so she doesn't have a pile of pee somewhere (like with Huggies, Luvs or Pampers) if she wets in the car and has to wait for a change. And they are CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP!

Target UP and UP Sensitive Wipes

Soap and Lotion-- California Baby Baby Washes/Shampoos and Calendula Cream. The cream works for cradle cap and baby acne too. When you use it after a bath you can put it on the diaper area as well as on the body. It eliminates irritation and smells soooo good. I also have the CA Baby cleansing spray for diaper changes that are especially messy (poopy folds.) It works on diaper irritation, cuts and scrapes.
