Is there a trick to changing a toddler's diaper?

My son has gotten to be a huge pain when changing his diaper. It's gotten to the point where I dread changing it more than he does. He screams and never sits still and kicks me non-stop. It's really really bad more than I can describe. Anyway, he never used to be this way, so how can I get him to behave when I change his diaper? Thanks!

Change him standing up, and do it as quickly as possible. He clearly doesn't like being changed either. I wouldn't smack him or punish him though unless it was you only option. Instead tell him that you won't change his diaper until hes ready to stay still. Hes at the age were he doesn't want to stay in a dirty diaper one second longer then he has to. If he starts to fight you about it, then stop doing it and tell him he will get changed when hes ready to be nice.

Another idea is put on the t.v and change him while hes watching t.v.

Both of my ideas have worked with my children at different times.
