Diaper Wipes Holder What "little" things are good to have for a newborn?
Like the small stuff to put on my "still need to get" list...things like a wipe holder to go in the diaper bag, baby rags for when he can get a bath, baby nail clippers, etc.

thermometer ; preferable not an ear one, i don't think they are very accurate, at least the ones in the hospital weren't...

bath tub thermometer...we have a lfloating turtle that gives the temp and a light that indicates just right, too warm, too cool

if you are ffing, an avent formula dispenser..they are great and you can use them later as a snack cup
i love my playtex 'fridge to go'; it's good for anything u need to keep cold;
probably u won't need it right away if you are formula feeding bc you can just mix it as u go with the avent cup, but can be used later as a place to keep baby food
baby mixer if u plan on making ur own baby food....
things u will need later..spoons, bowls, sippies. etc..ok i am reaching here LOL
oohh i love the waterproof gerber lap pads, i have used them for everything!!
cloth diapers for burp cloths
bibs
i suggest a changing table (big i know, but i got lil things to go with it...) with canvas bins underneath for storage of need to get to quick type things...i love my prince lionheart hanging diaper depot with matching wipe warmer that fits right on top!! and so does my dd, the wipes stay warm long enough to clean her...and if ur pad is waterproof, they are great to lay baby on for the sponge baths (without the cover of course, use a towel...)
if u use a diaper genie, get u some refills
batteries if you have battery operated bouncy or swing...
monitor
extra card for your cam for all the pics you will be taking and a charger and rechargeable batteries for cam....
gallon size ziplocs for bringing home dirties, i like that i can just throw them away rather than try to clean the one that comes with some diaper bags..
lingerie bag for washing socks, hand mitts, and lil items so they don't get lost in the laundry...

if using bottles a good bottle brush,nip brush and drying rack.....and lots of dishwashing liquid...
'piddle pad' and 'swaddle me' s by kiddopotamus; both can be gotten at babies r us; the pad sits under baby in car seat, bouncer, etc so if there is a diaper blowout, u can wash it instead of having to take things apart and clean them , which is a real pain, and the swaddlers made my gal sleep great, they are only ten bucks and they can't kick them off or startle themselves awake....

"We are having a baby!" This is probably the greatest news for the parents-to-be. Having a baby completes the married couples’ lives. An angel is coming to color their worlds…to strengthen their bond.
To welcome their little bundle of joy, friends and family usually throw a baby shower. It is when the mom-to-be is literally "showered" by gifts by people close to their hearts. First on my essential list is what I call the "diaper package". This is a very popular baby gift that mommies and daddies to be could use immediately after the baby is born. For unique baby gifts, I suggest baby books, personalized scrapbooks and baby keepsake treasure box.
Baby books are perfect examples of unique baby gifts. Books about parenting and child care could aid new parents in rearing their newborn child. To add personal touch to these gifts, it is best to write your own special message on the first page of the book.
To add a new twist on gift giving during baby showers, I recommend a personalized scrapbook. This will help the parents-to-be keep baby’s pics so that when baby is old enough to understand, he/she will be very happy to look at the fond memories of her when she was a baby.
Lastly, is the baby treasure box. Also a unique baby gift, it can just be made of ordinary carton boxes. Pimp it up by painting or drawing vibrant pictures. Baby’s own pics can also be used as deign to make it more personalized. Just like the scrapbook you can place in the treasure box baby’s old personal belongings such as clothes and toys. Baby will surely be amazed to see how mommy kept her little somethings!
