How much are diapers? What size should I buy a newborn?

My friend is having her baby tomorrow and I am getting her an outfit and maybe some diapers. So should I get big size or size for the newborn? Help me out here I have no clue.

I used to love huggies but now they suck.

Get a size 2. They actually wear them for a while.
I use LUV'S and I love them. They are cheap but good quality.
DON'T buy store brand. Most of them split and leak really bad.

As far as clothes I say get her a bigger size outfit. A 6-9 mo summer outfit would be awesome if you can find one. You could even get a 12mo outfit for next Christmas.
