Friends Nappy Bag
Parents....would you be concerned?
I have this friend, who I feel is trying to control the raising of my nephew. Whenever he goes to her house for the day, she all ways says how much she, and her partner love him (she's just my friend she has no relation to my nephew what so ever.)He all ways comes back with new things, new bottles, new clothes (which was fine) but new nappy bags, and Linen?? All the time. It almost feels that she's trying to own him. She always tells me that im doing something wrong, and that it needed to be done her way. call me paranoid, but I really think that she's trying to take too much control of his life.
Mum's? Dad's? would you be concerned if this happened to you? Or am I just being over protective?

Its ok for your friend to give your nephew stuff, but it is not ok for her to say that you are -doing things wrong. She has way too much influence on you and your nephew. Sometimes when people mind a child, or give them things they feel they have ownership of that child. Tell your friend that you love it that she cares so much about your nephew, but if she wants to buy him things, to keep those things at her place. If she continues to send things back with him (no matter how much you may love them) put them in a bag and send them back. If you are raising your nephew, then you have to take ownership of him. Ultimately if she doesn't listen to you, then you have to find someone else that your nephew can stay with.
