Cloth Diapers??? New momma needs help!?

I have tried two diaper service quality diapers, i have tried two different pants to go over them, i even inserted the nighttime fleece liner and still they leak! what am i doing wrong? My son is very tall and in the 98% percentile for all growth. Hes 3 months old and I cannot get these cloth diapers to work and not leak! This past week even his disposibles are leaking...? Is this just due to him peeing a lot, is it because he is so large? is there something i can do??

My son has always been a heavy wetter. I was frustrated at first as well. May I ask what kind of diapers you are using? It sometimes takes some trial and error to find the best diapers as far as performance and fit for your baby. Also, when the diapers leak are they soaked or are they barely wet yet leaking through the leg holes, etc? The reason I ask is if they are just soaked and therefore leak than you either need a better absorbing diaper or to change him more often. If they are barely wet and are leaking, than you have an issue with the diapers not absorbing at all that could be due to fit of the diaper, detergents or fabric softners causing a build up of the diapers, etc. If that is the case perhaps try to strip all build up by adding just a bit of dawn to the wash cycle (nothing else, make sure your diapers you are putting in the washer are already clean) and then add a couple extra hot rinses at the end and see if they work any better after that.

As far as the kind of diapers, my personal experience is pocket diapers are better for heavy wetters because you can easily add absorbancy.
