crochet ? Quilting?
does anyone know any patterns that just use chain stitch. i have started a little square and i'm trying to learn more stitches but i know this one lol. i have 1 son and 1 one the way any would like to make some blankets for them. thx
also does any one know any good sites for learning to quilt. i am very novice and plan to do all by hand. i have the quilting needles and thread i also have some gingham and plain fabric. i am trying to figure how to do stuff lol.

what i mean by chain is i do a row of the chain the foundation then i go back and do the same thing i just did pretty much but i'm conetting it to the foundation? does that help it prob is the single stitch
The chain stitch is just the basis of crochet. It only makes a thick length of yarn or thread. You need to learn to put your hook in the second chain of a row, catch the thread with the hook, and pull it through the chain. Then you pull the thread through both loops on the hook, and you have made a single crochet. Keep doing that and you will be able to make lots of things. Go to:
