Blood in my little girls diaper.?

My daughter will be 17 months old tom. and tonight while I was changing her diaper there was a little blood in it. It was a darker red and she hadn't poo or anything it is just pee. Her temp is 100.7 so it is a little elevated. Other than that she is okay she did have a rash on her face this afternoon and I gave her Benadryl and she took a nap and when I got her up that is when the blood was in her diaper. If anyone has any suggestions of what to do or what it might be I would love to hear.

Sounds like a urinary tract infection. That causes a slight fever and bloody urine. Give her some tylenol for tonight and call the doctor in the morning to make an appt. The tylenol will help with any pain she may have and the fever.

My son did have this at two months old when he was sick. Turns out it wasn't blood as I had thought, he was just a little dehydrated. He actually had an ear infection and just wouldn't drink that much because it hurt his ear. The doctor said that dehydration turns the urine red sometimes.
