Bambi meets Godzilla?
What is the real meaning behind Bambi meets Godzilla?
Bambi is more or less about the environment and the Disney portrayal of "happy ending" completely changed in this movie making it more realistic and blah blah blah...
And Godzilla is a little more about the bombs and destruction of Japan etc...
But I have to write a paper about they real meaning behind Bambi meets Godzilla. I can not think of something really meaning full that is really going to make an arguable paper. HELP? Please? It does have a real meaning behind it..I am just having a hard time finding it.
I think the real reason the Sex Pistols went around asking "Who killed Bambi?" was because the movie in question is literally a kids' film. Have you ever seen it? It shows a faun in limited and crude animation ponderously raising first one side then the other (and it's all in pencil on paper) under a whole list of credits where this kid is listed as doing everything, then you hear faint drum beats in the sound track (yes there is a sound track) and suddenly a horny foot comes down and goes SQUASH!
It's a little bit homage to mad magazine and a little bit pure nihilism. I'm sorry, but while Bambi and Godzilla both have symbolic weight, the actual encounter is too crude and over way too quickly to have any.
