my 10 month old daughter watches 2-3 shows on noggin all the time is this good

she wathes wow wow wubzy and dora the most she is still crawling and getting ready to walk. she explores and is still doing everything a baby her age should do so i guess i dont see why tv hurts plus i can get house work done or get a diaper bag packed or even shower when she watches tv its preschoolon tv for jeeps sake

I believe your daughter can benefit from tv, because most all the shows on noggin are developmental and educational shows for pre-schoolers. Both my daughters watch noggin and have benefited from their programming.

I think you will find that after a period of time you will begin to notice your child's overall knowledge and vocabulary exceeds that of children that don't benefit from developmental and educational television shows or dvd's.

I have also used developmental dvd's like "baby einstein", software like "reader rabbit" and subscriptions to "nick jr." magazine to help educate my daughters.

A friend of mine who works with "deaf children" told me that few deaf children go through what is commonly called the "terrible two's" because their "fits" are usually associated with a lack of ability to communicate their needs. Sign language enables them to communicate their needs effectively and is easier to pick up than verbal communication skills.

Educational programming along with Baby Einstein has introduced my daughters to multiple languages, including sign language and has helped them to communicate "very well".

I think some people are reading a little too deep into your question... You didn't ask if television should replace parental interaction and social or physical activity. I think noggin is a great educational tool to have handy in your "tool box" of items used during your daughters development.

I have had this stroller for about a month. I absolutely love it! It pushes nicer than any stroller I have ever pushed. I really would not complain about anything because it has worked out so well. I was looking for a sturdy stroller which can go well on all kinds of terrain. We walk ALOT, especially in the summer. Sinc we are gone all day sometimes, I wanted a big storage basket, a big sun shade, a front wheel that turns, and cup holders. This stroller has it all. It has two good size storage baskets, side pouches, an extendable sun shade, and it goes everywhere. I especially like the price. You really get a lot for your money with this stroller.

My motivation for writing this review is to warn current and future customers to avoid jogging with this stroller. I did just that, and the front wheel came off and the stroller flipped forward, bending the front fork and hurting my kid.

Discussions with the manufacturer indicated that they were well aware that this problem occurs and that they would not cover the front wheel assembly replacement. The representative stated that the front wheel will shake loose when jogging -- so please be careful and use this stroller exclusively for walking.

When used as a walking stroller, it's really a great product at a great price. Perfect for the zoo, the park, or the mall. Love the front scoop catch-all and the large back compartment for diapers and shopping bags.
