JJ Cole Premaxx Sling
Does anyone have this particular baby carrier?

I registered for it and got it as a gift. I thought it would be perfect when he got to the size he is now, and can hold his head up steadily. Instead, every time I put him in it I'm terrified he's going to slip down. Am I doing something wrong? Does anyone who has this carrier or one like it have any tips?
It's the hip carry that I'm trying to do. There's nothing that really comes up between his legs so I'm not sure what's preventing him from just sliding down my body. I suppose it's a matter of adjusting it just right, but I'm not finding the instructions all that useful.
Are you doing the cross legged cradle/ kangaroo type carry? I don't have that particular sling, but I do use a sling. If he doesn't feel particularly supported try scooching his bottom down a bit so his neck is still withing the top of the sling. You can also put a towel or something behind him to make him feel "tighter"

We are looking for a reliable infant sling?
We are looking into buying the JJ Cole Premaxx Infant Sling. Does anyone have any comments?How easy it is to use with an older baby (6months and above)? Is it worth the money? Is it easy to adjust? Does it stay in the position you put it in or does it constantly need readjusting? Any comments regarding this sling would be appreciated.
I've used a sling with a baby aged newborn to 1 year, and I use the Zolowear sling. I'd recommend a sling that is adjustable and that doesn't have padding because they're less bulky and fit better around the baby. I have 2 good friends who had the New Native sling/pouch and they both exchanged it for an adjustable sling.
