Owners of Labs, Goldens and any other retrievers. How often do you?

How often do you find yourself calling the vet for advice because your retriever ate something weird?
What were the last few things he/she ate?
And what if any medical care was needed?

I phone about my golden retriever so often, the girls at the clinic know me and my dogs by name, and recognize my voice! I'd say 3-4 times a month.

The last few things he ate were: A diaper (yes, almost the whole thing!) So far no veterinary care needed.
A spool of thread. X-rays, overnight stay and more Xrays. Medication to help him pass it. He was very lucky.
1/4 bag of Carefresh rodent bedding. Vomited most of it up, short vet exam.

I want to hear about what other people dogs are eating! Mainly because I'm bored....
I do try to keep things he can get into put away, but this dog is determined to get into EVERYTHING.

I have GSPs, which is a breed that retrieves.

Teddy doesn't eat junk, luckily. He carries just about everything around, be it a dirty shirt of mine, or something odd like a live baby bird.

But, Winter does. He's eaten the following items:
Socks
Packing Peanuts
The corner of curtains, bedsheets, ect
Rubber bands
The live baby bird that I made Teddy drop-swallowed whole
Lots and lots of bloody tampons, ect (not mine-my mom's. I keep them in a top shelf in my dresser until I throw them away outside, because I know how he is.)

He's eaten a lot. It's amazing he's lived to be fourteen. But last time he ate junk, it just about killed him. He had the worst bloody diarrhea, and looked like a skeleton. But, he bounced back.
Amazingly, he's never had to go in for surgery, either.

Teddy's grandmother also once ate a two pound bag of foil wrapped chocolate. When we made her vomit it all up, it looked brand new still. We could have still handed it out, if we so wanted to.

I know I saw someone on here with like a Dobe, that they said eats CDs...
