I am curious if Leslie Nielson planned this.
In Airplane (the first one) they are close to landing the plane when he opens the door and says "good luck were all counting on you"
He repeats this during the credits as well.
In Scarry Movie 3 when the main actress is fighting the corpse, the door flies open throwing the girl into the well again. Its Leslie Nielson and he says the same line again in that movie.
Well, considering the time between the movies, the Scary Movie 3 filmmakers were trying to create additional humour in the movie. It makes for an interesting connection between the two films.
