Little Pond
Is it better to be a big fish in a little pond or should one swim over to the sea side?
This question is tricky. I guess it depends on the opportunities within the pond and how much you would stand out if you swam out to sea.
A little pond can offer you the instant gratification some people need. It is a smaller, closer envirionment that allows you to stand out and be recognized, but opportunities are usually limited in a small pond.
At sea, you will be one of many, who will need to be recognized as above average in almost everything you do. There is obviously more competition and competitors don't always play fair. There will be more rules and structure that many get in the way of your personal ambitions but there are also more opportunities ahead.
You are the only one who can answer that for yourself. My only advice is that sometimes it is easier to get your career started in the pond and than move on to the sea once you have exhausted your opportunities.

Koi Pond Filter - Save Them From Themselves
A biological Koi pond filter saves precious Koi from themselves. Let's face it, Koi eat like there's no tomorrow. All that eating, in a garden pond environment, makes for a dynamic living, swimming, eating biological hazard machine. The mounting waste Koi produce amounts to rising levels of toxic compounds in the water, the most common being ammonia and nitrate. It's not such a big deal when the levels of these toxins are kept under control. However, a spike in ammonia or nitrate levels in the pond water could kill your Koi. In the wild, this process is taken care of by either the sheer volume of water, and/or the current of moving water taking waste particles along with it. In a garden pond setting, we need to supply this process mechanically.
