Maternity Diaper
has any1 ever put baby stuff on layaway while pregnant?
like a breast pump, diaper genie, carriers, clothes, furniture, bottles, .... even maternity clothes??
i saw a commercial for kmart layaway and thought it might be something i should do.
also, how does it work? do they charge a fee? if so, how much? if i put maternity clothes with it, and i get bigger than i thought, will they let me exchange them b4 i pick them up?
Bella is wrong about Kmarts layaway plan. I didn't do layaway for myself, but I did do it for a friend of mine when she was preganant. At Kmart, it is a $5.00 non-refundable layaway fee. They give you 8 weeks to pay it off, and a payment is due every two weeks. When you open the layaway, you have to pay the $5.00 and 10% of the total. So lets say that you put $400.00 dollars worth of stuff on layaway...on the day you do it, you would owe them $45.00. Then they would break up the remaining $360.00 over 4 payments, which would be $90.00 every two weeks. IF you cancel the layaway, they charge you another $5.00 for a cancellation fee. You are not allowed to exchange anything that is in layaway until you have paid for everything completely. Then you can exchange. I have done Kmart layaway many many times, and they are the best place IMO to do layaway with. I don't think I would do maternity clothes though. If the item didn't fit once you paid for it they may not still have the style. Good luck.
