Family thinks being fat is cute?

My boyfriend's son is a fat chubby kid. Hes that way cus of his family. My husband is fat too, you know beer belly and all but i dont want to be that way.All of his family specially grandparents feed him to much and pinches his cheeks and jiggles his belly. Even my husband calls him his "mini me" and "porky". He slaps his belly really hard and or gives him tight clothes to wear so his belly sticks out. Why are they doing this?

Some people think a fat child is a happy healthy child. But if a child does not get proper guidance when he is young, it will lead to many health problems as an adult. You would not want to see your child smoking, but being over weight can have the same effects. Arthritis, breathing problems, circulation problems, to name a few. I know of a young lady thirteen years old, who walks with the help of a walker, because she is so over weight. Your best bet, is to have your husband go with you to the pediatrician, and have the Dr. talk to him. Then your husband can talk to the rest of his family. We all love are kids, and we want them to live long long lives. I lost my son two years ago this month, and nothing can bring him back. Hold on to him, and give him everything he needs to grow. God bless you and your family, and good luck.

The Great Recession is not done with us yet. While the most acute part of the economic crisis is past, the recession`s most significant impact on American life still lies in the future. The personal, social, and cultural changes that result from severe economic shocks build and manifest themselves only slowly. But history shows us that, ultimately, shocks this severe profoundly alter the character of society. Don Peck’s Pinched, a fascinating and harrowing exploration of our dramatic economic climate, keenly observes how the recession has changed the places we live, the work we do, and even who we are—and details the transformations that are yet to come.  Every class and every generation will be affected: newly minted college graduates, blue-collar men, affluent professionals, exurban families, elite financiers, inner city youth, middle-class retirees.  This was not an ordinary recession, and ordinary responses will not fully end it. The crash has shifted the course of the economy.  In its aftermath, the middle class is shrinking faster, wealth is becoming more concentrated, twenty-somethings are sinking, and working-class families and communities are changing in unsavory ways. We sit today between two eras, buffeted, anxious, and uncertain of the future.  Through vivid reporting and lucid argument, Peck helps us make sense of how our society has changed, and why so many people are still struggling.  The answers to these questions reveal a new way forward for America.  The country has endured periods like this one before, and has emerged all the stronger from them; adaptation and reinvention have been perhaps the nation’s best and most enduring traits.  The time is ripe for another such reinvention.  Pinched lays out the principles and public actions that can help us pull it off. From the Hardcover edition.

Budget Ideas For Giving Any Room A Mini-Makeover

Given the current financial situation, many homeowners have foregone the idea of renovating their homes, thinking that it costs thousands of dollars to do so. Still, there are some who easily grow tired of the same motif and would want to constantly change the "look" of any room in their homes. Fortuitiously, with a pinch of creativity and ingenuity, we can give our rooms a makeover without laying out a lot of money. If you are working with a small budget, you must rethink the way that you will makeover your room and draw up a plan. All it takes is just a willingness to try out something new and the effective use of elements such as wall home decors. You are now set to transform any room in your interior with a mini-makeover.

One of the most inexpensive ways to change the "look" of any room is by re-arranging the furniture. This instantly updates the room without spending a lot of money. Too worn out to push and shove? Try different arrangements of picture frames, paintings, and other wall art and decor instead. For example, in the living room, you can hang the frames from a vertical to a more random, collage-style arrangement. Additionally, you can try displaying paintings in another section of the room to create an interesting focal point. For example, try placing a large painting above the fireplace that is currently hanging behind the couch. You can also buy reprints and affix these in new frames for a fraction of the cost of buying original ones.

Free up wall space in your kitchen and then paint it with blackboard paint to create a message center where your family can leave reminders. Pick up some inexpensive bottles and dispensers that go with the color of your kitchen walls. For an elegant touch, you can affix metal racks in the available wall space near the counters to store wine bottles and glass and metal spice containers. This is a classic example of smart wall home decors that beautify a previously blank space and increase storage options at the same time.

For the bedroom, you can go the DIY route and create a new headboard by checking out websites that provide instructions on how to create these. Renting? Not allowed to paint or score the walls? Give the room a burst of color or the illusion of spaciousness by putting up floor to ceiling curtains in bold designs. You can give the illusion of open space beyond by putting up floor to ceiling curtains. This is a smart design element especially for those who live in cramped conditions, like a condominium. Of course, you can always display any type of wall decor, from medieval tapestries to tropical wall sculptures that will bring your personality into a rented home.

These are some smart trips that you can try. The good thing about these is that you can accomplish any of these in a matter of minutes. Moreover, with the right dose of creativity and ingenuity, you can easily transform or update the look of any room without spending too much.
