Baby formula and bacteria?

ok so i have a nappy bag with a thermal pocket for bubbys formula when im out and about!but io got told that i cant make up the formula and carry it around ready to use even though i have the thermal bit to keep it warm because of bacteria doubling.i was told that i wuld have to take hot water in the thermal pockets and the formula seperate and make it up when i need it.any advice would be great.ta

YES, you can't go round and about with ready formula, you have to keep it separate, what I used to do is I pot the worm water in thermal to keep it worm, then use sterilized small plastic bags and each one contain a measured amount for each feed. and one or two bottles depends on how many hours you are planing to go out, for me I go out for at least 6 hours, so I used to use the plastic disposable bottles so you don't have to wash and worry too much, you only will need to change the plastic bag inside the bottle...good luck

P.S always try to give your baby fresh made food or formula.
