Never Used Daddy
Never Used Daddy
I have never understood why women call men who are their boyfriends/husbands/etc. their "daddy"?

Do you use this word??

I don't know why the phrase got started, I've heard it alot, but refuse to use it myself. Maybe it's just my point of view, but the only time I refer to my husband as "daddy" is when one of his children ask something about him.

Why did this phrase morp into a slang word meaning someone who takes care of me??..I've never found it a "cute endearment", reminds me a little of incest for anyone to want to sleep with their daddy, or something a prositute would say to her pimp... is this part of the intrigue?
If my husband ever said "Who's you're daddy?' in the bedroom.. I'd be done, right then, right there.....

Again.. I don't get it.. explain please?
OK then.. two answers so far.. and now Ihave to add more details...

Whats the difference in daddy.. and pimp daddy?

i thought all girls grow up looking for a man just like daddy? usually attracted to older men. always staying daddys little girl. incestuous? yes!
i want to know what guys/men think of this

The Chronicle Of Daddy Yankee Music

Daddy Yankee music has been around for several years now.
Daddy Yankee also well-known as Ramon Ayala grew up in Puerto Rico as part of a big musicians home.
Ayala started out by singing lyrical improvisation but had his spirit set on joining Major League baseball.
This aspiration was broken when he was engaged in a gun fight and was caught in crossfire taking two bullets, one in his arm and one in the leg. This got him with a irreversible limp so a career in the Majors was not viable. That was when latin rap was starting and he got into it.
He took interest in the emerging latin rap style later called reggaeton and he took the style among others of Vico C, DJ nelson and DJ player.
No Mercy was the first album he issued when he was only eighteen. In the following years he published some singles that were published during 1998, but it was not until 2000 that he released his first solo album El Cartel.
In august 2005 daddy yankee music became the most favorite reggaeton known until then and he was coronated as "the boss".
When he spoke publicly he said that he was proud of being named the embassador of reggaeton music. He was very glad of broadcasting the message of reggaeton using Daddy yankee music.

Barrio Fino was released in 2004 and sold over a 1000000 copies. At this time he toured the states and numerous latin american countries and his concerts were piled with devoted fans.
In 2006 he made a movie that featured daddy yankee music.

He plays Eddie Dinero and others in the cast include Glory, TNT, Rey Pirin and more.
Daddy yankee music is now very popular and has turned inot nr one in reggaeton all over the globe.
Daddy Yankee music with its most popular song Gasolina is now connected with national politics because of Ayala's endorsement for Republican Sen. John McCain who ran for chairperson and supported the Hispanic community.
Being a Reggaeton super star involves a lot on the performer as he was taken to the hospital in Florida suffering from dehydration and a viral infection.
He was freed from the hospital but the doctors commended sleep and repose.
The album El Cartel release was slightly delayed in 2007.The Big Boss album was the top selling album in this year for its category.

People magazine has coronated Daddy yankee music as one of the top 100 most shaping the public opinion.
Ayala remains to release hit after hit and carries on as an embassador diffusing the Reggaeton styling with his Daddy Yankee music.
