Not Rational Diaper

Advice needed for woman living with her boyfriend and his kids.?

I am a 31 year old teacher and ex-nanny who normally loves children of all ages, but has a seroius problem with my boyfriend's kids. They usually live with their mother, but we have them for the summer (and maybe longer). I have never been around children who are so clueless about responsiblilty, consequences, discipline, and life in general. My boyfriend says that I expect them to be perfect, but I'm just amazed at their lack of perception. These kids are not normal. I attempt rational explinations of things, getting either an arguement from the know-it-all 10 year old boy, or an empty stare from the 7 year old girl. How do I deal with it without hurting my boyfriend and overstepping my boundaries? By the way, any advice for helping the 7 year old with her nightly bedwetting problem would be appreciated. My boyfriend and her seem to think it's cute that she's still in diapers.
