Cloth diapers- Fuzzi Bunz??

I bought Fuzzi Bunz for my son when he was a baby and we loved them! But then when he was about 18 months old he started getting diaper rashes really bad, probably the worst I've ever seen. Once I had ruled out everything else, I put him in regular pre folds for a week or two and the diaper rashes stopped. So, I tried Oxyclean, which didn't help. Then I tried stripping them in the washer and by hand with Dawn, which still didn't work. With my little man's super sensitive skin, I thought maybe his skin was just intolerable. So I put them through a couple washes and about 15 rinses and packed them away. Now I have a 4 month old who usually wears flats and prefolds. She's only had one diaper rash but today I put her in one of the fuzzi bunz and her bottom broke out. Any suggestions on what I can do to get rid of whatever's harboring in these diapers? I'd hate to think I've spent all of this money on them and we won't even be able to use them again!

I use Fuzzi Bunz, too, and NOTHING worked to get them clean until I used Charlie's. Fuzzi Bunz are notorious for detergent residue build-up, and the Charlie's will get rid of all that.

You have to follow the company's instructions for cleaning your machine first (this gets all the residue out of your machine so it doesn't end up on your diapers and make the problem worse). Then you'll want to run your diapers through at least 4 or 5 hot washes with Charlie's before you use them again -- rinsing each time until the water is clear with no suds. This will pull out all the detergent and whatever else might be lurking in all those layers of fleece. You will be shocked at the change in color and texture of the fleece.

I have a small front-loader, and I wash 12-17 Fuzzi Bunz and inserts at a time. I run a cold rinse first. Then I run a hot wash with an extra rinse -- using about 1 Tbsp. of Oxyclean and 1 Tbsp. Charlie's liquid (half the scoop they provide -- the company says to use the full amount because it rinses so clean, but I find I don't need that much). I then run at least one more rinse, or another hot wash cycle, just to make sure I've got all the suds out.

Finding The Best Hotel Accommodations When Traveling With Infants

You will be surprised at how different the "ideal" travel accommodations are for you once you have a child. Before becoming a parent, you wanted a room that was in the middle of the action because you were there to party; now, you have a tiny tot to care for and if he's not happy and satisfied, you certainly aren't going to have much of a vacation. When traveling with an infant, what are the key considerations to help you find the best hotel accommodations?
