Can my 6 and a half month old eat Step One meats?

It's turkey. She's been eating other Step One foods and a few soft things off our dinner plates. My pediatrician told me then month she recommends but I can't remember. Her office is closed for the weekend so I'll have to call on Monday but I'm just curious as to when you started feeding your kids Step One meats. Thanks.
