Why our Supervisors, Managers have no sense of humor?
Here is my situation...I work as an anoucer in great Train station with many connections...Before the deparure of a train I anounced the following...Dear passengers...the train so & so will leave in 25 minutes...final Destination Florida...first Connection Philadelpia, please be advised on this train are allowed only hard working : Blacks, Latinos, Orientals and whites...drunks...troublemakers...and drug adicts will not be allowed on this train ...Also be advised that in this train the bathrooms are not working...please be sure to buy fron the station's general store and then wear adult diapers before you embark the train... this way you will avoid any accidents during this trip. Management is wishing you happy- safe and dry trip. After this anouncement ... my immidiate Supervisor told soon or later I will be called in the Main office, for an explanation!!!...I wonder what will be my punishement... What is your opinion? on my performance.
initially, i'd be taken aback if i heard this, but then its kinda funny.
who wants to ride with drunks, addicts and troublemakers? you should write comics with this one.
as for managers and supervisors, they sometimes see the title as a shut down of a sense of humor or light heartedness. maybe you could keep your message with few changes that some won't find so offensive. i'd hate for you to lose your job (over something like this) before you're ready to leave it.
