How to keep cats out of cribs?

My daughter and I are trying to find a solution to keep my cat, Maui, out of the pack~n~play.The baby is not here yet, (due the 31st), however Maui thinks that this is her new place to lay. We covered it with a blanket to keep her out after we put it together however she still lays on the blanket. We just don't want her & her long hair all over it and think that this is her new territory.....any suggestions ? (Black pepper sprinkled on top of the blanket worked for a cpl. of days...

Shut the crib away in a room Maui doesn't go into, buy a cat net in readiness for the baby coming, and do as someone else suggested and buy the cat a nice new comfy bed of her own. Don't forget to give her lots of love and fuss and make her feel she is still very important to you, especially after the baby arrives.Spend time with Maui while the baby sleeps.
