Personalized Brown Pink Any creative ideas for sweet sixteen party favors?
My birthday party is in three weeks and my theme is pink and brown and semi-formal. I have been to a million different websites, but all they have is personalized candybar wrappers or mint tins. And I'm kind of short on money and I just need little unexpensive things (for guys and girls) as party favors. I thought about like finger boards for the guys but not ALL of my guy friends are into skate boarding.

Interior Design with Your Personality in Mind: Part 1
In this series of articles I aim to give outlines of the personalities and four interior design styles and how they can work together. Enough information will be given in the four part series to enable you to work out your dominant personality type and what interior design style and colours would be most suitable for you. They are both fascinating topics.
The first thing to do is get an understanding of the different personality styles. Then find the style that would be suitable and comfortable for the particular personality to live with. There are four basic personality types; sanguine, choleric, phlegmatic and melancholy.
Hippocrates identified and labeled the four basic personality types over 2000 years ago. Since then numerous other theories have been developed. Many have found the understanding and use of personality traits helpful in business and personal life.

The first personality type we will look at in this first article is the sanguine. You can often recognise this type of person (or yourself) as the outgoing talker. The sanguine is an extrovert, an optimist, laughs a lot and wants to have fun. They enjoy being with people and will talk to anyone. They often talk to things. So next time you hear someone talking to a computer or a car it is more than likely they are a sanguine.
This person has a bright personality, smiles a lot and is often the life of the party. They are often accused of taking nothing seriously and can get bored very quickly. It has been estimated in some studies about twelve percent of the population are sanguine.

Now I will introduce you to the four basic interior design styles. There are many different interior design styles. To make it easier to work out which style is most suitable for which personality I have narrowed the styles into four broad categories. I have given each style a name; Ethnic Cultural, Mini Modern, Enviro/Natural and Traditional/Classic.
From the four styles mentioned above the style most suitable for the person with a sanguine temperament is the Ethnic Cultural style. This style is dramatic, bold, warm, interesting and the objects selected tell a story. The interior design items selected could be from China, India or any other ethnic source. The sanguine person likes to have activity and drama. How often have we heard a girl described as a drama queen? This girl very likely has a sanguine personality.
Sanguine and choleric personalities tend be adventurous. Decorating the home with colourful objects from different countries would appeal to the sanguine person; they would have stories to tell. Sanguine people tend to be more people orientated than task orientated.
Note: The terms yellow, red and orange are used to cover the family of the colour mentioned. For example: yellow, cream and khaki the tints and tones of the colour, or red, pink and maroon or orange, peach, salmon and brown.
The colours selected are also very important. One of the first steps to take when decorating a room is to select a colour scheme. The colour scheme you select should have a dominance of either warm or cool colours. The sanguine person would feel more comfortable with warm colours. If a colour was used to reflect the sanguine personality the sunny warm sanguine would be yellow.
Yellow is cheerful, stimulating and can dominate. It radiates warmth and reflects maximum light. This could be a very good description of the sanguine person. Yellow has been said to uplift the spirit. The sanguine person can create a happy atmosphere just by walking into a room. The same can be said of the colour yellow. In Britain it is often used in a breakfast room. Yellow works well when used with white and beige.
Colour is a brilliant and easy decorating tool to use, it can do wonders. The colours used to decorate a room are so important because they have psychological and physical effects on the people who use the room.
Red is said to be exciting, aggressive, bold, and warm and appears to advance. Red can also irritate and overpower. Some studies have shown red increases muscular tension and blood pressure.
Orange has always played understudy to red. Orange has no negative associations emotional or cultural. No one has a depressing fit of orange (like people have a fit of the blues). No one gets orange with rage or seeing orange (like people get red with rage or people are seeing red). In spite of this it is a colour people tend to love or hate.
So if you have a sunny sanguine personality style the interior design style most likely to suit you would be the Ethnic Cultural used with warm colours. Any tints of yellow would be suitable. Just one word of caution yellow has been shown to be unsuccessful as a colour for a bedroom. It is not conducive for sleep. But that's not surprising the energetic sanguine finds it hard to stop the adventure of life long enough to sleep. They are not the most restive of people.
