Pink Ergo
Pink Ergo
Pino from Ergo Proxy was based on...?

Wikipedia says that the character "Pino" in Ergo Proxy was based on a pink rabbit toy, named cutest toy of the year in the UK at one point.
Can anyone give me a link to what this toy looked like?

Hi !
Pino is one of my favorite anime characters and I , too , have often wondered what the cutest toy of the decade looked like and the closest I have come is at the link below but this is by no means definitive .

Why Do You Need a Chlamydia Test?

If you are sexually active, you should seriously consider taking a Chlamydia test. Chlamydia accounts for 30% of all sexually transmitted diseases (STD’s) reported annually in the United Kingdom. In the United States, Chlamydia is also the most reported bacterial STD with over 1 million cases reported annually. The sad news is that an estimated 2 million cases are suspected because Chlamydia often goes unnoticed and undiagnosed; ergo, they are untreated and unreported.

Chlamydia is passed via oral, vaginal and anal sex. It can also be passed from an infected mother to her newborn infant during delivery. Though any sexually active person may become infected with Chlamydia, young women and teenage girls are more susceptible because the cervix is not fully developed. Obviously, the more sexual partners one has, the greater the chances of becoming infected with Chlamydia or any STD.

Symptoms of Chlamydia for women are a lumpy discharge and burning sensation when urinating, but it’s important to remember that 75% of Chlamydia cases have no symptoms at all. For some women, symptoms may be more severe with pain in the abdomen and lower back, fever, painful intercourse and bleeding in between periods.

The infection can easily spread from the cervix to the fallopian tubes and even to the rectum. When left untreated in women, complications can lead to pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) which can lead to permanent scarring of the fallopian tubes, uterus and cervix. Sadly, this can lead to infertility or ectopic pregnancy (tubal pregnancy which can lead to death).

Pregnant women need to be screened for Chlamydia because newborns whose mother has Chlamydia may end up with pneumonia or conjunctivitis (pink eye) when the infection from the birth canal enters their respiratory tract or eyes during delivery.

Men may have discharge or burning during urination if they have symptoms. On rare occasion, there may be testicular swelling or pain in that region. Again, most Chlamydia cases have no symptoms and an unknowing person may spread the disease to other sexual partners. Obviously, condom use is highly important.

Untreated Chlamydia is also suspected of causing a rare form of arthritis called Reiter’s syndrome, which also presents with painful lesions and swelling of the eyes and urethras.

Since 1998, Chlamydia cases have increased by 150% in the United Kingdom. Treatment for Chlamydia is a simple, non-invasive course of antibiotics when it is detected before any permanent damage occurs. The sooner you are tested, the sooner you can be treated and breathe a sigh of relief. The test is free, so what do you have to lose?
