me and my friend
are making our own hippie costumes
and we need some more help
heres what we have planned so farr
were gonna cut up some tie dye shirts kinda sluty but still really cute
jeans short shorts
glitter braclets
flower peace rings
peace sign neclace
hippie stickers for our face
clear jellie shoes
BRIGHT LIME GREEN nail polishh!!!
were gonna crimp our hair really poofy and cute and tie a pink head band on...
then we got green knee high socks to wear...

does it sound good???

No, it doesn't sound good. I actually lived through the 60's revolution and NO ONE wore glitter anything! No hippie stickers on face, No bright green nail polish. No pink head bands or green knee socks. You sound like girl scouts on ecstasy.

But everyone was into leather with beads...vests, jackets, pants. Find a simple leather headband (or paisly bandana)and just let your hair be natural. Not everyone looked like Abby Hoffman. Old jeans and denim vests were big too., old tennis shoes or knee high boots (not spikey heels) or even leather sandals only if you live in a warm area. . Please no flower peace rings, but small metal rings (no one could afford gold or silver) and definitely long earrings preferably with beads and a few feathers.

And no one wore slutty tie-dye shirts. We wore regular tie-dyed shirts.The cut-away is a recent thing. Watch Forrest Gump and see what everyone was wearing at the Washington mall rally.

You could make up cigarette papers with oregano and talk about how stoned you are and say Wow! a lot. or say "Power to the people." Wear a roach clip on your vest or jacket. (an alligator clip...ask your dad for an alligator clip, or your grandmother for a roach clip.)

Peace symbol necklaces would be okay, but not too many people actually wore them. Just don't drop acid (LSD), it will give you a true feeling of the 60's but not recommended.

Get Rid of Head Lice

One of the most common problems with hair is when you get the head lice. And the most common symptom is an itchy scalp which is often confused with the formation of dandruff or sometime with dirty scalp. They do not spread disease, but they are transmittable and can just be utter annoying and embarrassing. They also require a person’s body temperature and moisture to survive and die in when off the body. They cannot survive on the body of the animals.

Severe scratching can lead to inflammation, bothersome rash, small red bumps or sores and bacterial infection. Lice eggs called nits are also very bothersome as they cannot be removed by brushing or shaking them off. Lice generally lay eggs or nits on hair shafts very close to the skin's surface, where the temperature is perfect for keeping the nits warm until they hatch that is 1 to 2 weeks.

The question arises how to get rid of the lice and the nits? Simply combing your hair with a fine tooth comb can remove lice but not the nits. They cannot be removed by combing. They can be removed by hand. Hand and comb are considered zero cost method but it takes lot of time. It is advisable to comb hair with fine tooth comb if there are any lice after applying conditioner to your hair or your child’s hair as it temporarily immobilizes the movement of the lice and makes it easier to get a comb through the hair. Other alternative treatments are the application of petroleum jelly, mayonnaise, or olive oil that are considered very useful to suffocate head lice. If there are no monetary issues then you can go for medication but remember that it should be prescribed by a reputed doctor otherwise you may cause damage to your hair. It is also important that you follow the instruction that is provided with the medicine or lotion that is sure to kill the lice and the nits. It is also essential to pay attention to the age of your child. If the child is too small those is 2 years or under then avoid such powerful products on the delicate head of your child. Go for zero cost method. It is to remind you again that whenever you are following any kind of medication it is important to pay attention to what your doctor say and follow the instruction properly so that you can get the result safely.
