Are Huggies Supreme Diapers like the golden fleece of all diapers?
I bought box for my one year old daughter to see for myself what all the hype is about this diaper. Mind you, I usually buy Target diapers or a decent store brand like Kirkland's. In my opinion, the kid is going to poo and piss in it, it does not have to be woven with golden thread, platinum lace, and embroidered in silver.
I just cracked the box open despite having several of her "substandard" yet effective Kirkland's out. Kirkland's and Target's brands have never let us down, and never leaked. These seem to do just as efficient a job as the cheaper brands. So, what are the parents paying for? Pooh bear and Tigger's face on a diaper that a infant or toddler can care less about?
I just had to see for myself what the hype was, because I have friends who are not the richest people in the world by any means mock me because I buy the cheapos, and they buy the Huggies golden fleece supreme. My conclusion: Effective as cheaper brands for 2x the price.
Are we bad parents?
Yeah i agree with what the person above Say's. Some people just by them for the image, like clothing brands - Nike, Reebok, Adidas.
When i buy my son nappies i just buy what i can get. I try to go to a supermarket to get there own brand instead of a local shop because you are mostly stuck with pampers and Huggies. I really don't find any difference between them and the cheaper brands.
To be honest i would rather buy the cheaper nappies, save £1 or £2 per week. That is quite a big saving in the long run.
