Whats a free cd burning program i can download that changing mp3s to a readable format for my cd player?

i burned a cd and it only plays on my mp3 portable cd player...it wont play in my car cd player or boombox or anything because it was mp3 format...is their a free nero download out there or something like it that NOT a free trial or costs money?
