Precious Planet crib set?

Well, I don't know what gender I am having this time around and came across the fisher price precious planet crib set and fell in love with it. So colorful. However, I don't know how to paint the baby's room to match the crib set, but colors that would work for boy or girl..any suggestions??

The comforter and the bumper are a SIDS risk, so unless you want to kill your baby the only practical part of that set is the sheet.

They are super cute, but is it worth your child's life to use them? Bumpers were designed for older cribs with far apart slats. They know now that babies can roll into them and suffocate. Comforters they get over their heads and they suffocate. It isn't as bad as letting them sleep with a plastic bag, but it is the same basic idea.

If you want a bumper, get a breathable mesh one, but they are not necessary with modern cribs.

I know I know I know how tempting they are, they are cute, you see pics of them, they seem harmless and adorable... but it isn't worth losing your baby to it.

If you think that a 1 in 5000 chance of your baby dying to the comforter and bumper are worth the look of it, go ahead. But don't kid yourself that you are not endangering your child. It is in the end what your priorities are that is the deciding factor. The 1 in 5000 chance isn't an exaggeration. 1 in 1000 babies die to sids, and about 1 in 5 are due to things like bumpers and blankets put in cribs.
