This special waxy film will give your purse a shiny attractive finish, and it will resist any type of moisture from coming in direct contact with the leather. You will want to use a deep conditioner on your leather tote handbag at least once per year, if not twice per year. Perhaps once per week you should clean off the leather from any dust or dirt that has accumulated throughout the week. All you need to do is take a damp sponge or cleaning rag and wipe off the leather. What can happen is that the dirt or dust particles and collect in micro cracks on the surface of the leather and act like sandpaper. This is usually how cracks get worse and turn in to tears causing you to throw the purse away. There are some special spray on silicone sprays that will make your leather purse extremely water resistance, and this is recommended before each rainy season to protect your leather tote from the coming rain.
